10 Tips on How to Save Money on Gas By: Jackie Stewart
1. Using gas credit cards saves money on gasUsing a gas company credit card where you can get a 5 to 10% rebate on the purchase of your gas will save you between $75 and $300 per year on your gas. Get a card for each driver in your household. 2. Purchase your gas in the morning or evening saves money on gas
Gas is denser at colder temperatures. Because gas pumps measure volume if the gas is denser you are getting more gas if the gas is denser. I know you did not want a science lesson. Just trust me on this one. You get more gas if the temperature is colder. 3. Using the Internet to find the best gas prices saves money on gas
I use the Internet to find the lowest gas prices. A couple of cents per gallon can make a difference in your pocket book. My favorite site for this research is www.gasbuddy.com. This site give you the best prices in your area. Gas prices in your area can range as much as 20%. That is a huge difference over time. |

8 Ways to Save Money on Toys For Your Kids
By: Ashley Laine Kids toys are getting more expensive and more high tech every day. The latest gadgets that you spend sometimes hundreds of dollars on are the toys that I find my kids do not even play with as much as their simpler toys. The advertising your children see on television convinces them that they âneedâ the next greatest or biggest thing to come down the pike.
Often these toys are recalled after Christmas because they where taken to market for the holiday shopping season. Make sure the toys you buy are well made and will last past January 1. In reality there is no reason to get caught up in the hype. Here are some tips to have a great Holiday experience on a budget.

Business By the Numbers
A womanâs Perspective on Starting and Building a Small Business By Ashley LaineStarting a small business as a woman is difficult yet I believe easier. There are a couple of reasons for this. The main one is that we do not have a problem asking for directions. We also enjoy supporting each other as women. Toward that end, there are two things that every business needs or it will fail every time.
Do you remember those paintings that had the numbers that told you where to paint each color and at the end you looked like a master painter? There were two components to those pictures that were necessary to be successful with them. The first is the color code that tells you what color goes with what number and then you have the picture that has the numbers where they colors need to go. Â You may be asking yourself, what this has to do with starting my own business? Actually, you might be surprised. Remember those two things I was talking about that you must have to start and build a successful business? Those two things are Tactics and Strategy. Most people just have one of those things going in to a business startup. |

Balancing Family and Building a Business
Finding Joy in Building a Small Business By: Ashley Laine
Building a small business is hard enough by itself yet when you though family dynamics into the equation now you have a serious test on your hands that most small business owners fail miserably. Keep in mind that you are out of your comfort zone anyways and then you through all of the responsibilities that come along with being a spouse and parent and you have a predicament on your hands. So how do you balance these two items that seem on the surface to be about as compatible as oil and water? Well I think back to what I read on the cooking channel and if you are going to add oil to water then it is best to do it slowly while mixing thoroughly. |

Succeeding in Business as a Single Mother
By Michelle Upchurch
What does it take for a woman, especially a single mother, to succeed in small business today? I can only tell you my experience in working as a builder and developer over the past 20 years. I donât have an exact answer; however, I can relay some of my thoughts, which hopefully will lead you to take the steps toward your own success.
Determination is mandatory. Making it mandatory in your mind to keep going and striving for excellence no matter what the world throws at you. You will have challenging days. Remember you are a woman and if you can give birth this business stuff is easy. |
